Ok now for those in healthy relationships the holidays are a time of joy, laughter and overall a pleasurable experience.
Holidays in a Rabid relationship can pose problems the average couple do not contend with.
Jealousy is a PRIME denominator in any unhealthy relationship. Let me elaborate.
If you are "in" a crazy relationship you will forget that normal people do not cause scenes at Holiday parties by making absurd accusations about you "casually speaking" too long to a co-worker or your boss or even a relatives significant other.
Friends, if you cannot trust the person you are in relationship with, you simply SHOULD not be involved with that person. RUN.
Some of you are reading this and thinking... well that advice is silly, everyone with common sense should know that.
Well we agree. But. Individuals who are consumed in this rabid chaos have blinders on or tunnel vision. These indivduals genuinely, we feel, just cannot see past the rabid chaos to actually SEE the chaos.
Case in point:
Lets say Sally is infected with Rabies Love and attends her annual Christmas party with Sam, her boyfriend, not infected with Rabies Love.
They are at the party when Sally sees Sam laughing at the bar with a pretty blond. Sally will feel her heart rate rise, her hands sweat, she will even get a uneasy feeling in her stomach.
Sally will approach Sam whisper accusations in his ear and pout the rest of the evening. Sally is now consumed with negative thoughts and they will argue loudly and cause a scene. Embarrassed they leave, agrue and break up in the car, only to have mind blowing sex as soon as they walk into the house.
The next workday a co-worker will question Sally's behavior - and Sally will justify her actions and blame the pretty blond for the whole party disaster.
Sally cannot see past her NEED to be with Sam to clearly view her behavior as abnormal.
*Key Point*
Two people should be in a relationship because they WANT to be not because they NEED to be with the other person.
People who have rabies have massive emotional swings: one week they will express wonderful, loving opinions of their partners - then the next week they will literally proclaim absolute hatred for the person, all while having "text war" at their desk.
Assignment. Sit back for about 15 minutes this holiday season and observe those around you - at a party, family gathering, even shopping. See if you can identify anyone with Rabies. I bet it will not take you long at all.
